Alambika was founded in Montreal, but our connection to the West goes back much further. Owners Jean-Sébastien Michel and Vesta both spent important years in Western Canada. Jean-Sébastien studied at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, while Vesta lived and worked in Calgary’s energy logistics sector.

We know that doing business in the West comes with its own realities. Distances are bigger. Freight matters. Local availability can be limited. A restaurant in downtown Vancouver doesn’t have the same challenges as a hotel in Banff, a resort in Whistler or an independent bar in Saskatoon. That experience still shapes how we approach the region today.
